Why We Love Engagement Sessions!

“Tim and I have been asked by Onewed to share why we not only love doing engagement sessions but why we feel that it is so important to do engagement photo’s! So we wanted to share it with you too! First, we absolutely LOVE capturing couples in love! We have been so honored to share in so many sweet love stories and to document them, to capture a sweet kiss and shy smile to wrestling matches and nonstop laughter, we have had so many wonderful times photographing memories that our clients cherish forever! We want everyone to have that same experience with us or whomever their photographer is! Our goal is to be more than a photographer who takes your pictures but we truly want to get to know our clients and become friends so that when the wedding day comes we are not total strangers. Each couple is so unique and thus the sessions are each different but wonderful! In closing as you can see we love engagement sessions for the memories and closeness that it gives between the photographer and you the couple but also it is a wonderful time for you to become comfortable in front of the camera! We have many couples who come to their engagement session and are very nervous but by the end they have had a great time and are so excited about their wedding photo’s! That’s what you want on your wedding day complete comfort and assurance that your photographers will capture you just as you want them to as you have discovered your style and theirs through the engagement session!
One other suggestion that we will offer is have FUN!!! Have fun with your clothing too! We love when couples bring a couple of outfits and wear unique items that make them feel themselves! Bring out your personalities through your clothing!!! Fun shoes and jewelry are great accessories! Think about what defines you as a couple and bring things that will help to tell your love story! But most of all have fun and remember to smile and laugh and let everything go and just enjoy being in the spot light! J

I am so excited that Rothwell Photography will photograph our wedding next year. One of the reasons I chose them was because of their impeccable “eye” on photography. They capture each couple’s story with a dream-like yet traditional feel. I want our family and friends to look at our wedding photographs and see how much Travis and I love each other… When you look at Sasha & Tim’s photo gallery of all the weddings & engagements they have shot- you just smile and feel adulation and affection…
Thanks Sasha for making the search for a wedding photographer so easy…

The only things the newlyweds get to keep are their rings, their photographs, and their love. Their rings they will wear as a constant reminder of their love, and the photograph album will be a window to their wedding day memories. Kristen and I both knew that the photographer is going to be one of the biggest decisions we make when it comes to the wedding planning. My fiance showed me your work, I think your work is excellent! I think we made the right choice- choosing Rothwell. Thank you for helping my fiance feel at ease.

When I first started looking for a photographer for my wedding, a woman I work with said, I know this couple, The Rothwell’s, who are absolutely fantastic. I was so relieved when I met Sasha to realize that she was right. Your attention to detail and your fun approach really drew me to wanting you to photograph my wedding. Not to mention Jason is not the biggest fan of having his picture taken so I knew I’d have to find someone willing to not only have fun and draw him out of his shell a bit, but to capture on camera those sweet and tender moments that make me love him so much. I cannot wait not only for my bridal portrait session, but for my wedding day because I know you guys will be there to capture it.

… I was perusing your gallery, for the 100th time, showing a fellow bride-to-be your work… They were very impressed! I had to tell you both that I LOVE – LOVE- LOVE the “vintage tones” photos! Absolutley beautiful! Every time I look at your website I get more and more excited about you guys capturing our wedding day! I can’t wait! Thanks!
