Bella + Nate – Wedding – Early Mountain Vineyards

Love these two!  The life and energy they brought to their wedding day was speechless, and you could see time and time again throughout the day how much they loved each other!  We loved how family oriented the wedding was and how everyone was so friendly and kind.  The color choices for Bella and Nate’s wedding really popped and only added to improve the lovely spring day!  All around this was a fantastic couple and a fantastic wedding day!  Enjoy some of our favorites!

Any other details unique to your wedding -  Our wedding will be in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the beautiful Early Mountain Vineyards.  The venue is picturesque and it’s fitting that a horse a carriage will complete this fairytale wedding.  Not many weddings have a 3rd color of “bling.” J

A little bit about you two, and how your wedding reflects who you are –

When people asked what the theme for our wedding was, it was never easy to give a straightforward answer.  After pondering, the theme we came up with was LOVE.  We want to set the tone by writing our own vows and having a close friend of the groom’s perform our nuptials.  Beyond that there have been quotes to inspire feelings of love sprinkled throughout the process.  From the Save the Date to the invitation, a quote to stir feelings of love and loving have been prominent. We’re continuing that by having a different quote about the meaning of love at each table. We hope that the theme catches on and is spread throughout the night.  The other thought that continued to echo in our minds was fun.  We really wanted to encourage our guests to view our union as a party and on occasion to celebrate.  We hired a DJ that we believe knows how to get the party started.  We wanted no excuses for everyone being on the dance floor, so despite requesting cocktail attire that will likely demand high heels, we’re providing flip flops for aching feet.  As a girl who LOVES her high heels, I can understand the dilemma of aching feet and your jam being played. No ambiguity about where we want our guests.  On the dance floor!

Bella’s Handsome Father

Vic + Laura – Engagement Teaser – Luray, VA

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to head out for a engagement shoot on what felt like the true first day of spring.  We were so excited for this shoot when Laura and Vic told us they would be flying in for the shoot, and that we would have the opportunity to do some shots with their plane.  Having had a past in the aviation field this was immensely fun for myself, and brought back lots of memories.  Enjoy this fabulous couple and their very fun engagement teaser!

I really want pictures of the little details (favors, flowers, bar signs, etc)

Being in our mid -30’s we took a very different approach to getting married and the wedding.  First and foremost, this is about a marriage to us and wanting the people closest to us to celebrate that.  Second is that the only reason we chose to have a “wedding” instead of eloping, etc. is that we are so excited for this rare opportunity to have our nearest and dearest all in one room.  How many times in life does that happen?  Our guests are all traveling in for the weekend and we’re so appreciative of their time & efforts and want to make sure to care for them along the way.  As I work in weddings full time, my focus was on staying within the generous budget my parents allowed, and really making things easy and enjoyable on our guests.

Carolyn - As always, I am in awe of Rothwell Photography photos! You all did a fantastic job although I am sure it helped that the wedding itself was so beautiful!
